FAQs

General FAQs

Do you honor food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Yes! Tour Chicago is ready to honor these common food allergies: dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, shellfish, wheat and the following dietary preferences: vegetarian.

If you have a serious food allergy (potentially life-threatening) please contact us directly at the time of booking to make us aware. Though we may not be able to offer substitutions, we take your health and safety very seriously and will inform you of tastings you should skip or tours that offer fuller experiences with minimal risk.

How much food is served on the tour?

Our tours offer enough food that for most participants, a meal afterwards is not necessary. Please know that our food tours are not intended to replace two meals, so please consider eating breakfast before an afternoon tour.

What happens if it rains?

We operate tours rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, ponchos will be provided. We recommend always checking the forecast beforehand, and preparing accordingly. Please keep in mind that weather in Chicago (especially temperature) can vary by neighborhood. On very rare occasions, we will contact you if the tour needs to be cancelled due to severe weather forecasts.

What if I’m a local?

Great, so are we! Tour Chicago is the perfect way for locals to have fun exploring the city. If you're needing to acclimate to a new part of town, or looking for a memorable adventure date Tour Chicago offers plenty to wow even a local and make you fall in love with the city all over again.
